The PALS online certification course includes two parts:
- Part 1 – A self-paced series of online training modules, 3 –6 hours based on experience
- Part 2 – Hands-On Skills Assessment, includes Megacode, 1-2 hours based on experience
The AHA Heartcode Blended Learning course is intended for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children, including personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and others who need a PALS course completion card for their job or other requirements. PALS online course utilizes simulation technology and scenario-based learning that is self-directed on your computer. The course covers all the same material as a traditional classroom-based PALS class and includes the complete PALS textbook online.
Students who successfully complete the PALS Course online and the hands-on skills and Megacode session will receive a PALS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years.
